Partnership brings IoT comms devices to UK users

01 December, 2022

The IoT communications manufacturer Moxa has formed a partnership with the UK controls and automation distributor PES Group to stock and support its products in the UK and Ireland. The agreement covers edge and cloud communications devices that enable connections between industrial networks and cloud infrastructures. The products include Ethernet switches, fieldbus gateways, remote I/O as well as serial-to-fieldbus converters.

PES will also provide technical support backed up by Moxa’s UK applications and technical support engineers.

The agreement will extend PES’ offer to include cloud and IT infrastructure communications technologies. For Moxa, the partnership will increase its awareness with system integrators and panel-builders in the UK.

Moxa, established more than 30 years ago, has connected more than 71 million devices worldwide, and also provides automation vendors with re-branded products.

The company recently launched a new generation of networking products designed to futureproof industrial networks and to accelerate digital transformation. The EDS-4000/G4000 series modular DIN-rail switches have 10Gb ports to transmit high-volume data reliably and are designed to withstand heavy shock and vibration. They were the first to achieve the IEC 62443-4-2 security certification for industrial networking devices.
