KEB takes 30% stake in Italian motor-maker, Brusatori

31 January, 2019

The German motors and drives manufacturer KEB Automation has acquired a 30% stake in the Italian motor producer, Brusatori Motori Elettrici, thus expanding its servo and high-torque portfolio.

KEB’s managing director, Kurt Bauer, says that the deal means that KEB is “further expanding our position as an integral supplier of automation solutions right up to the machine shaft. As a specialist for servo and high-torque (up to 1.3kNm) motors in the medium and high power range, Brusatori is the ideal partner to sustainably supplement our product portfolio in terms of breadth and quality.”

Bruatori’s CEO, Antonio Brusatori, adds that the partnership with KEB will allow his company to offer variable-speed systems that will take it into new markets and applications.

Family-owned Brusatori, founded in 1953, produces synchronous, asynchronous, DC and permanent magnet motors. it developed its first high-torque motors in 2017, including versions with air or water cooling.
