Power transmission manufacturer adds a new site

23 July, 2013

Medway (UK), the Kent-based manufacturer and distributor of mechanical power transmission and motion transfer products, has bought another production facility close to its headquarters in Ashford.

The new 12,000ft2 (1,115m2) facility will be used to help meet demand for Medway’s Max range of high-temperature, PTFE-lined rod-ends and spherical bearings. It will also provide further opportunities for the company to expand.

“We now have 66,000ft2, combining design, production, distribution, sales, quality control and administration,” says Medway (UK)’s managing director, Ray Mifsud. “Despite the brutal economic times, we remain committed to furthering British manufacturing.”
