LED HMIs are ‘the world’s thinnest’

12 July, 2013

Fuji Electric has developed a new line of cost-effective HMI displays which, it claims, are the world’s thinnest, with a depth of just 36mm. The Technoshot HMIs also incorporate enhanced CPUs for fast response times.

The CE-certified HMIs, produced by Fuji's Hakko Electronics subsidiary, are available in a 7- and 10-inch screen sizes, and have LED backlights. The WVGA wide-view screens offer more than double the viewing area of some alternatives. The HMIs have two USB interfaces as well as an Ethernet port. The HMIs are said to be easy to install, and offer remote monitoring and maintenance facilities.

Sumio Akimatsu, Fuji Electric’s vice-president of component products, says that the HMIs “strike an optimal balance between price and performance.” They have been designed to be an economical product for the global market.
