Replacement chain makes less noise

Replacement chain makes less noise

Tsubaki has developed a drive chain that replaces standard types directly but produces 6-8dB less noise. The SN Low Noise Drive Chain is aimed particularly at applications where people are working close to the machinery, and at specialised applications such as stage lifts in theatres.

The chain reduces the noise that normally occurs when the roller and teeth mesh together. The usual cylindrical roller is replaced by a coil spring roller which absorbs the noise made when it engages with the sprocket teeth. As well as cutting overall noise levels, jarring noises are reduced. The low-noise chain can operate at speeds of up to 200m/min.
