Chat online to your drives

You will soon be able to communicate with your ABB drives via the Internet, following the development of an Ethernet module that can be connected to any ABB drive that has a fibre optic link. The facility will allow you to monitor, configure and diagnose the drive using a standard Web browser and, if necessary, take control of the drive.

The module can also send condition-triggered alerts to specified email addresses, making it easier to monitor remotely located drives. The module, which can be connected to up to nine drives, incorporates an embedded server with all of the software needed for communications, data storage and to generate a user interface. The rail-mounting module can be installed inside or outside the drive enclosure. No PC is needed at the drive end.

The two-way communications with the drive allows you to monitor drive parameters such as load levels energy consumption, and I/O data such as bearing temperatures in the driven machine.

There are several levels of security to prevent unauthorised personnel from gaining access to the drives.
