Torc merges with its sister company, MPTC

MPTC Electrotechnik has merged with its special products division, Kontech, and its sister company, Torc Electric Motors, to form a single business called Elektrotorc. The move will offer customers one point of contact for all of the company`s electric motor and power transmission products.

The combined business will offer motors from VEM, WE, Koncar and Claret, as well as SITI gearboxes and variators, SIT slide bases and rails, and inverters. Other products on offer will include motor starters and inverters.

Elektrotorc is based at the former MPTC site, with the former Torc site providing extra warehousing and workshops. The company holds stock worth more than £1m.
