Modified enclosures `will arrive within seven days`

03 November, 2010

Rittal has announced a service called RittalXpress that will deliver custom-modified enclosures within seven working days of an order being placed online or by phone. The company says it has invested in machinery and equipment to deliver the service, whose main aim is to save time and money.

The service has been created following market research and discussions with customers which revealed a need for a turnkey service that delivers cost-effective, pre-configured enclosures quickly.

Customers can order enclosures via a dedicated Web site, where they can search for products by application, size, IP rating, material or part number. Any compatible accessories can then be added from a selection suitable for the chosen part number.

Modifications can be specified, including simple square or round holes, and more complex cut-outs such as large apertures for fans and filters, and baying kits. The modifications can be carried out on any face of the enclosure.
