Deritend pair set up power transmission business
Published:  22 January, 2009

Two former employees of Deritend Electrical, Anthony Chisholm and Kurt Wainwright (below), have set up a power transmission company called Alphadrive & Power Transmission Solutions, based in Stoke on Trent.

The company has been appointed a preferred UK distributor for the Italian gearbox manufacturer, SITI. It is offering ATEX- gearboxes and services such as light gearbox repairs and motor modifications.

“In the current climate it is a relief that we have been able start and grow AlphaDrive month on month.” Says Wainwright. He hopes to establish the company “as a respected problem-solving business with satisfactory organic growth”.
