INA`s Hartigan adds FAG to her responsibilities

Kate Hartigan (below) has been appointed managing director of FAG bearings in the UK, in addition to her previous responsibility for INA Bearings. Her appointment launches a programme to integrate the two brands in the UK, including the closure of FAG`s Telford site and the transfer of its activities to INA`s UK headquarters in Sutton Coldfield and its manufacturing site in Llanelli.

INA`s parent company, INA Schaeffler Holdings, bought FAG for €880m in December 2001. Hartigan, who joined INA as finance director in 1994, was made managing director in 1999. INA employs more than 400 people in the UK and its 2003 turnover was £54m.
