Pentair encloses five European brands in one group

01 November, 1999

Five of Europe`s best-known names in the enclosure market - Transrack, Schroff, Optima, Hoffman and Eraba - have been brought together as the Pentair Enclosures Group Europe.

The formation of the group follows the acquisition of the five members by the $2bn turnover US operation Pentair whose other activities include fluid technologies and tools.

The group employs more than 1,500 people across Europe and is expected to achieve a turnover of more than £122m in its first year. "By building on the strengths and synergies of all five companies we are set to become the number one electronic packaging manufacturer in Europe," declares company president, Ken Lewandowski.

Pentair Enclosures has set up its European headquarters in Edinburgh. The five brand names will be kept with each catering for a different part of the market.
