Tiny guides line up for world record

THK has produced one of the world`s smallest linear motion guides, with carriages just 4mm wide. The guides are aimed at miniature and precision applications in areas such as pick-and-place systems, and medical and scientific equipment.

The guides` blocks run on precision ground stainless steel balls in almost frictionless raceways. The balls circulate in the block body, allowing a wide range of race lengths.

The RSR range includes blocks with widths from 4-10mm and lengths from 6.2-17mm. They are suitable for rail lengths up to 18cm, and have basic dynamic load ratings from 37-307N.
